Sarrinah and Wania, along with volunteers from our partnership at HandsOn South Florida, worked with the seniors at Jubilee to paint ocean landscapes!

Kangana and Jenna held an event at Providence Living Pembroke Pines on June 22nd to guide the Memory Care seniors on making a beautiful floral painting!

Sarrinah worked with the seniors at Alzheimer's Community Care to paint an ocean landscape to commemorate summer and create a fun atmosphere for the patients to enjoy!

Sarrinah, Jenna, and Wania led a spring-themed painting session with the seniors at Jubilee Assisted Living, embracing the coming of a new season with our lavender paintings. Each senior added their own twist to the simple yet alluring piece.

January 2024

On January 5th, a painting event at Presidential Place brought seniors together for a creative and enjoyable afternoon. The session was designed to be both relaxing and stimulating, allowing everyone to explore their artistic side. The room was filled with vibrant colors and happy chatter as each individual expressed their unique interpretation of the floral theme, resulting in a collection of beautiful and diverse flower paintings.

December 2023

Sarrinah, Aishwarya, and Wania led a holiday-themed painting session with the seniors at Alzheimer's Community Care, infusing the gathering with festive cheer and creative energy. Guiding the patients, they embarked on a journey to paint vibrant Christmas trees, with each individual adding their personal flair to their artwork. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as cherished memories were painted onto canvases, creating a moment of connection and joy for all involved.

November 2023

     On November 1st, Aishwarya had a meaningful experience of painting with the Alzheimer’s patients at Belmont Village. Painting fall trees brought smiles and fostered heartfelt connections with one another! The patients were able to add their own creativity into their paintings which made the experience very enjoyable. It also brought joy and laughter to their day! Lasting memories were made at Belmont Village!

     Gabi and Kangana joined the patients at Presidential Place for a memorable painting session. Together, they immersed themselves in the vibrant colors of fall trees, sharing laughter and forging meaningful connections. Patients added their own unique touches to their paintings, infusing the experience with joy and creativity. 

October 2023

     On October 11th, Sarrinah and Aishwarya led a painting session with the seniors at Alzheimer's Community Care. We were able to commemorate autumn with a piece encompassing fall colors - creating beautiful sunset paintings.  

September 2023

     On September 4th, Sarrinah and Kangana painted lovely sunsets with the seniors at Presidential Place. The seniors were taught how to paint a landscape of hills and fill the sky with their creativeness. It was a great experience for patients to rekindle their artistic side, which is hidden within each and every person. 

August 2023

     Monday, August 21st, Kangana went to Belmont Village Senior Living to bring a smile onto the faces of seniors with dementia. She taught them how to paint a landscape of hills and a sunset. The laughter and joy that radiated from them while they painted truly spoke millions on how the activity impacted their feelings and state of happiness.

     On Wednesday, August 16th, Sarrinah and Aishwarya held a journaling event with the seniors at Alzheimer's Community Care. They worked together to create personalized journals to draw and keep memories in. They also had the opportunity to make bracelets of their choice and share their favorite jokes; Spanish included. Overall, it was a fun and memorable day for our volunteers and the seniors! 

     Tuesday, August 11th, Kangana, Sarrinah, and Aishwarya held a slime-making event with Presidential Place’s seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The seniors created slime of their own, choosing their favorite color and decorating it with fun charms and beads. This therapeutic, old-time classic activity helped them foster new memories and smiles that brightened their day!

June 2023

     On Tuesday, June 13th, Kangana worked with seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer's at Presidential Place and made origami animals such as frogs, butterflies, swans, and dogs.  After that, they were able to customize their origami pets using color pencils. This calming and therapeutic activity allowed them to relax their mind and have a fun time while coloring and talking amongst their friends.

     On Monday, June 12th, Palette of Life held an event at Belmont Village Senior Living and did a painting activity there for the first time! The seniors really enjoyed the chance to have fun and let their imagination run wild. Painting gave them a sense of freedom, the opportunity to channel their creativity and enjoy 2 hours of pure relaxation.

May 2023

     On May 16th, Palette of Life held its first event at Presidential Place, where Kangana led a painting activity for seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer's. They had a fun time with this challenge and were able to participate in an engaging activity, painting a sunflower.

    Painting is one of the most beneficial activities for Alzheimer patients, as it helps build connections and passions through the fog of memory loss. The smile that lit up on their faces during this activity was one that will be forever ingrained in our minds. Such joy and happiness, are the reasons Palette of Life aspires to hold events such as these.
